i-join Day – This is how our team event was!

Teambuilding at i-pointing

Just under 1.5 weeks ago, our i-join Day took place on June 25, 2022! Each of our more than 50 colleagues, whether in the office or remotely (i.e. in a permanent home office), was cordially invited to spend a day with the team in Lenggries.

This is how we started the day

Our team event had a super selection of activities to offer: conquer the Isar river while rafting or swing your paintbrushes in the action painting studio!
Those who liked could join in only at lunchtime or do an activity twice – so everyone could do what they enjoyed! Since we had a lively number of participants of 35 people, the day was organized so that there were two groups – one in the morning and one in the afternoon. These then took turns in the respective activities and were divided into two boats or painting groups!

The rafting started with a safety briefing, because that's part of Fun, too, of course! After that, our employees were allowed to put on wetsuits and life jackets. With helmets on their heads and paddles in their hands, they then went to the boats to carry them into the Isar River. And off went the wild ride!!!

Visibly happy, but also a bit exhausted, our rafting colegates from the afternoon then arrived at our meeting point for lunch together, where the group of artists from the morning was already waiting.

These were allowed to divide themselves with the Actionpainting into the two groups „Extrovert“ or „Introvert“. Then they had all the opportunities to implement these themes with the provided acrylic paints, brushes and palette knives on the respective canvas.
The results are unique works of art that definitely offer a lot of room for interpretation!

Joint lunch break

The joint lunch was celebrated at 26 degrees in the sun. A typical Bavarian snack was offered with everything that goes with it – Obadzda and pretzels were of course also included!
So our colleagues could talk in peace, enjoy the delicious food as well as the wonderful weather and exchange ideas about the activities! It is deliberately emphasized that there is enough time for personal conversations, as a team event offers a framework for this!
Because at a company like i-pointing, where many employees also work remotely or in a partial home office, it's mainly at these events that you get to know each other (better). And of course, this should be taken advantage of!

After the snack, the two groups then swapped locations. One group went to the Isar river, while the others went to the painting studio.

While the rafters fought their way through the waves in the blazing sun, the painters were able to make themselves comfortable in the studio. There again two themes were given, according to which the people should divide. „Office“ and „Homeoffice“ was given this time. Again, it was a matter of finding groups, thinking up a concept, sketching it out in pencil and then getting to work on the colors! By the way, the 4 artworks created during our i-join day will decorate our office.

In the evening, we met again for dinner together. Since two of our bosses had their birthdays a few days earlier, the moment was immediately used for the presentation of gifts! In addition, the fantastic mountain scenery was perfect for a group picture.

The day was rounded off with refreshing drinks and a delicious barbecue buffet. As a conclusion there’s a delicious Kaiserschmarrn!

Our conclusion? It was a mega fun day with cool activities! The weather was great and we were able to get to know our colleagues in a different way! In addition, both the action painting and the rafting were based on teamwork – and that worked out great. It was great!
