Colors, like properties, follow the changes in emotions.
Just in time for the International Color Day, which has been celebrated every year on March 21 since 2009. we talk in our latest blog post about Colors and how to use them effectively in PowerPoint presentations can use.
Colors influence the psycheThey trigger emotions and encourage us to buy a product, to trust a brand or not.
Color theory is much more than just "pink is a pretty color". As a company, you want to create a strong emotional bond to customers. But while you not the entire company history in one logo or on social media (who reads that anyway?), go Colors the direct way into the customer's heart.
Color theory in a nutshell
People decide in less than 90 secondswhether they like a product or not. 90% this decision is based solely on color. So it also makes sense that an essential Part of the branding on the color selection concentrated.
Without going into great detail here Color theory in detail (it's a whole science), let's just say this much: color theory classifies Colors in systems. She explains how people perceive color, how Colors mix, match or contrast with each other. But it also deals with the subtle (and often cultural) messages that colors communicate - i.e. the Color meaningsand the methods used to reproduce colors.
Colors and their significance for corporate branding
Colors contribute significantly to creating a Building a brand in a targeted manner. They evoke Emotions and feelings and they often trigger memories to important moments in people's lives.
We all know that Emotions incredibly powerful and have the power to steer decision-making processes. They think of the Color red and a specific beverage brandright? Or to the Color blue and a large online news service. This is where terms such as "Recognition value" and "Familiarity" plays an immense role.
Questions to ask yourself for the Corporate color design should be placed:
/ What kind of Service or product is it about?
/ What for does this product stand for?
/ Which Target group should be addressed?
/ Which Cultural circle does the target group belong to?
How we use colors in PowerPoint presentations
As an agency with decades of experience in the PowerPoint and presentation design, we at i-pointing deal with the Basics of colors and their influence on the psyche. Colors have a subtle and unconscious influence, which is precisely why they are so important. Because we humans/consumers see colors everywhere and very precisely.
PowerPoint presentations with more than 3 colors (White, grey and black do not count as colors and can always be added) are often too colorful and colorful is often associated with childlike. Of course, it always depends on the purpose and target group of a presentation on. But the most important thing in presentation design is that the content is taken seriously and that the presenter does not think about the content. Seriousness and competence is lost.
Colorful foils work only if the company already has a colorful logo and wants to signal "The Use of our products is child's play and users can live out their play instinct here.

Of course, we can't go into detail here about how our graphic artists and designers create their Wonders in PowerPoint accomplish. But this much can be said: The Perfect mix of elements - colors, contrasts, contents - makes our Presentations on absolute highlights for our customers.
We wish you a colorful International Colour Day!
