5 tips for unlocking your creative flow

This way you can encourage your creativity in presentation design

With the help of these tips, you can give your PowerPoint foil design a new coat of paint.
For designers, finding your own style can be a real challenge because there are so many different techniques and styles. They can all fascinate you and yet the main difficulty lies in allowing your own character to flow into them.
This can also involve constant development, as you change over the years and the creative path is also a constant process.

1. Focus: consume less, create more yourself!

Dear Internet - sometimes it's easier to let yourself go and look for inspiration than to take action yourself.
That's exactly the crucial point: trying out or implementing the ideas!
Getting started is probably the most difficult part, because getting started usually takes a lot of motivation.
It's often easier if you just get started!
Presentation design in PowerPoint brings with it far more possibilities than most people think. That's why it's perfectly okay to be a little overwhelmed at first. However, it is important to initially experiment with the PowerPoint foil designs, for example, to get an impression.
TIP:Set a time limit of 10 minutes to research a specific topic. Then you start creating something yourself on this topic.

2. Get involved in the process!

In order not to get into an everyday rut, small, self-imposed design challenges in everyday life can be helpful. Pick out specific motifs or set your own deadlines to give your creativity new impetus outside of (customer) projects.

4. Filter out sources of inspiration

What inspires you in everyday life? Focusing on this can help you (re)find your own “creative flow”. Especially when there is a blockage, it is helpful to know your sources of inspiration! Maybe it's the walk in the park next door? Advertising brochures or postcards? Traffic signs? Special places, colors or people?
IMPORTANT: capture your ideas, whatever form they take. A notebook and pen or your phone can both serve as a place to collect them. Whenever you need fresh creative input, you can return to that collection. For presentation design, for example, you can create your own slide-library folder and save every PowerPoint slide design that could inspire future work.

5. Get inspired, but don't copy!

Finding your own creative style is a process that involves trying out a lot. You recreate designs from artists whose styles you like, practice with tutorials, and test your way through various presentation design templates in PowerPoint.
